How do women build remarkable things without reproducing the very systems they’re trying to change?
The Residency is a year-long gathering for women who have built full, accomplished lives and still feel disconnected from themselves.
You may be mid-reinvention, drawn toward depth, spirituality, creativity, or a slower way of being, without the time or spaciousness to explore it. You may feel unmoored, even when everything appears intact.
You may want ambition and balance, connection and independence, meaningful work and a life you can actually inhabit. You may trust yourself deeply one day and question your worth the next.
This is the particular terrain of a threshold.
Something is completing, and something else is beginning. Both are true at once.
The discomfort is not necessarily evidence that something has gone wrong. It may be evidence that something is ready.

“The Residency has created real shifts in how I perceive myself, my contributions, and recognizing what I need to generate momentum. Expansion of relationships both inside and outside of The Residency. It's an amazing place to push against fear and vulnerability."
— Lacey Norton
Why we call it a residency
An artist enters a residency to step outside the ordinary pace of life and devote sustained attention to what's trying to emerge – arriving with her talent, her contradictions, her chaos, not expected to already know what she's making. That's what this year offers.
Not a course, a retreat, or a program that inspires you, then disappears – a sustained relational space where insight has time to become integration. You're witnessed and known by women who understand the territory, developing real friendship in a deeper capacity to stay tethered to yourself while the world keeps moving.

What we practice in The Residency
-
Become an Honest Woman
The more honest we are with ourselves and everyone around us, the more deeply we inhabit our bodies, our lives, our identities. This can mean being bold, unapologetically irreverent. It can also mean clear boundaries. It can mean revealing parts of ourselves we were taught must stay hidden. It definitely means giving fewer fucks!
-
Become a Generous Woman
Your social network - your friends, colleagues, neighbors, acquaintances all create the ecosystem around you; the people you know and love are the fabric of your life; we practice generosity and reciprocity. In The Residency, we care about your needs being met and one way we practice meeting them is through deeply generous networking, social connection, and community.
-
Become a Woman of Friction
In order to cultivate ease and relaxation, ironically, we need to build our friction muscles. This means not only accepting conflict and friction in our lives, but even welcoming it as a gift. We are living in an increasingly frictionless world. We are becoming too conflict avoidant. The tough moments are what we bounce off of and work through to become more resilient.
What will change
You become more willing to disappoint someone else than abandon yourself.
You stop over-explaining, over-giving, and managing everyone else’s emotional experience before registering your own.
Hard days begin to move through you rather than accumulate inside you. You develop the capacity to metabolize difficulty instead of carrying it indefinitely.
The loneliness you thought was personal begins to dissolve inside a circle of women who understand
Decisions become clearer. Self-trust becomes quieter and steadier. You begin to recognize your own experience as data.

What we practice in The Residency
Belonging is not a side effect of the work
It's part of the structure.
Many women arrive at a threshold, having outgrown the circle around them, without yet finding a new one to step into.
The Residency offers that: being known over time by women asking the same real questions about how to live, lead, create, mother, build. Not networking as transaction – generosity as a way of relating and being.
Inner ease, not outer convenience
You are probably very skilled at creating convenience - you plan, optimize, prepare, control. But convenience and ease aren't the same thing. Women like us don't always know how to rest without earning it first.
The Residency is where that starts to change. The more you receive, the more you relax. The more you relax, the more you are able to receive.
Discernment in an increasingly unmoored world
We live in a time when more of our thinking, choosing, and relating can be outsourced. The question isn't whether you use technology; it's whether it enhances your humanity or replaces your relationship with it.
The most radical thing you can do right now is know your own mind, and the Residency helps you get sure what's yours, what's conditioning, and what's actually true.

The Curriculum
Our curriculum moves the way you do, with the seasons. Spring's edge is different from summer's expansiveness, autumn asks something different from winter. The work stays connected to the moment you are actually living.
Spring: Emergence and Expression
Spring is about shedding identities that no longer fit and stepping into the one that is actually yours now. You clarify your point of view, develop the confidence to say it aloud, and practice putting it into the world from a place of conviction rather than performance.
Possible sessions include
-
Who Are You Becoming?
Retiring old identities and giving shape to what is emerging.
-
Climbing Cringe Mountain
Practicing visibility without waiting for perfect certainty or polish.
-
Practice Your Pitch
Speaking about your work and your ideas with clarity, presence, and self-trust.
-
Claiming Your Growth Edge
Committing to the bold action that activates it.
-
What's Your Story
Developing and articulating your unique point of view.
-
Group Integration
Reflecting on how the season's sessions have changed you.
What waits on the other side
We do not know exactly who you will become over the course of a year. Neither do you. That is the point.
But we know that sustained attention, honest relationship, and a circle of women willing to remain present to one another can create a profound shift.
What waits on the other side is rarely a completely different life. It is a deeper relationship with the one that is already yours.

The Expansion Session is where it begins.
Once a month, we hold a small circle where you can experience the work, the principles, and the women for yourself– and leave with something real, whether or not the Residency is your next step.
